Software testing and quality assurance in Dubai, UAE

Quality cannot be inspected in at the last minute. Next Orbit’s QA engineers join a project at the requirements stage, and no release leaves our hands until it has passed an agreed set of checks, whether it is a web platform, a mobile app, an integration or a connected device.

  • Architecture-led
  • R&D-backed
  • QC before every release
  • UAE, GCC & global
  • QA engaged from requirements onwards
  • Automated regression tests on every change
  • Real devices, browsers, Arabic and English
  • Written release criteria and a sign-off report

Quick answer

What is quality assurance & testing and who is it for?

Software testing and QA is the planned checking of software against its requirements before real users rely on it. Next Orbit provides manual and automated testing of function, regression, performance, security, compatibility and usability. We test systems we build and, independently, systems built by others, for organisations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, the entire UAE, the GCC and globally.

Every engagement is architecture-led, delivered by an innovative, R&D-backed team of security-first engineers and quality-controlled before each release, for clients across Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the entire UAE, the GCC and globally.

Test runner

Watch a release earn its way to production

This is a real shape of suite we run before a release: business flows, bilingual layouts, offline behaviour and permissions. One failure is enough to stop the release. Press run to see it in action.

  • AutoAutomated where it pays. Regression suites run on every change, so people test what machines cannot.
  • RealReal devices, real networks. Slow 4G, old Androids and small screens, not only a developer laptop.
  • GateA gate, not a report. Failing tests block deployment by design.

Bug lifecycle

What happens when a test fails

  1. 1Found

By an automated run or a tester, with steps, device, screenshot and log attached.

  2. 2Triaged

Severity and priority agreed with you, so critical issues block the release and cosmetics do not.

  3. 3Fixed and reviewed

A developer fixes it, another reviews it, and a test is added so it cannot return.

  4. 4Verified in your environment

Closed only when it passes where you will use it, not just on our machines.

What you get

Quality assurance & testing: what we deliver

Manual and automated checks of function, performance, security and compatibility before each release.

Deliverable 01 · Quality assurance & testing

Functional testing

Every user story is tested against its acceptance criteria, including the awkward paths: wrong input, missing permissions and dropped connections.

Deliverable 02 · Quality assurance & testing

Test automation

Repeatable checks are automated at unit, API and interface level and run in the CI/CD pipeline, so a breaking change is flagged within minutes.

What do software testing and QA services include?

  1. Testing answers one question: does the software do what was agreed, for the people who will use it, in the conditions it will meet?

    Read moreShow less

Answering it properly needs several kinds of test. Functional tests check behaviour. Integration tests check that connected systems exchange the right data. Performance tests check speed and capacity. Security tests look for weaknesses. Usability tests check that real people can finish real tasks.

  2. Quality assurance goes wider than testing.

    Read moreShow less

It includes reviewing requirements for gaps and contradictions before they are built, peer review of code, and agreeing release criteria in advance, so that going live is decided on evidence. The same QA discipline protects the platforms Next Orbit delivers; MeezanX, for instance, serves internal, vendor and client users on live projects, and each configuration change and update we deploy is regression-tested before it reaches them.

Which tests should be automated, and which done by hand?

  1. Automate the checks that run often and must give the same answer every time: core calculations, API contracts, sign-in, permission rules and the main user journeys.

    Read moreShow less

Once written, those tests run on every change and protect the product for its whole life.

  2. Manual testing stays essential wherever judgement matters: a feature still taking shape, visual quality, how an interaction feels, Arabic copy and layout, and exploratory sessions where an experienced tester tries to break the system in ways nobody scripted.

A sound QA plan uses both and states clearly which is which.

How do you test products that include hardware, IoT or AI?

  1. Products that reach beyond a screen need extra methods.

    Read moreShow less

For IoT we test with real devices and simulated fleets, covering lost connectivity, low battery, messages arriving out of order and firmware updates. For integrations we test what happens when the other system is slow, offline or sends unexpected data.

  2. For AI and LLM features we build an evaluation set of representative cases with agreed pass criteria, and rerun it whenever the model, the prompt or the data changes.

Results are reported in plain language, so you can judge whether accuracy is good enough for the intended use.

  • Device, firmware and connectivity testing
  • Simulated load from sensor fleets
  • Evaluation sets for AI and LLM features
  • Failure-mode testing of integrations

How we work

How we deliver quality assurance & testing

5 stages, each with a deliverable you can review and sign off before the next begins.

Revision A · stage 1 of 5

Plan

Test strategy, environments, test data and release criteria are agreed together with the scope.

Revision B · stage 2 of 5

Design

Test cases are written from the acceptance criteria and reviewed with the business analyst.

Revision C · stage 3 of 5

Run

Manual and automated tests run in each sprint; defects are logged, prioritised and retested.

Revision D · stage 4 of 5

Harden

Regression, performance and security testing finish before a release candidate is approved.

Revision E · stage 5 of 5

Questions, answered

Quality assurance & testing in the UAE: frequently asked questions

01 Do you offer QA as an independent service?

Yes. Besides testing everything we build, we test software made by in-house teams or other vendors and report what we find independently.

02 Is testing part of your development work?

Yes. Quality control is built into every engagement. Each release passes functional, regression and compatibility checks before it reaches you for acceptance.

03 Do you test Arabic interfaces?

Yes. Right-to-left layout, Arabic rendering, numerals, dates and language switching are part of our standard coverage for bilingual products.

04 Can you load-test before a launch or a sale?

Yes. We model the expected traffic, test in an environment that mirrors production and report capacity limits with recommended changes.

05 What do we receive after a test cycle?

A test summary listing what was tested, the results, open defects by severity and a clear recommendation on release readiness.

06 How is QA work priced?

It is scope-based, driven by the size of the application, the platforms covered and the level of automation wanted. A tailored proposal follows a scope review.
